Today was a long hot day of riding. I think I am just short of 1,000 miles total. I wanted to make it to Fargo, ND but that proved a bit too ambitious. The temperature across Iowa was 90-92F. I was hot but tried to stay hydrated with frequent stops. About an hour from Sioux Falls the sky's grew dark and the temperature down to mid 70's...I put on my rain gear but it never rained...it seemed to be moving west. One nice bonus was the 75 mph speed limit for the last 200 miles. My butt does hurt but a good night's rest should put me in the mood to ride across the Dakota's tomorrow. Red Velvet continues to purr along not complaining about the roads or heavily load. Despite trying not too...I brought too much crap...I think I will ship some stuff back and go with bare essentials. It does get a little lonely on the road...I did meet a fellow BMW rider filling up with petrol...she was going home to Michigan. I also road with a HD motorcycle rider for about 80 miles...nice couple and they rode 75 mph the whole time. I took my first call on my cell phone as I was riding...my son Conor called and I could not hear him but yelled I would call later...I was going 85mph when I did that...
Well time for bed...miss you Cathy, Conor, Zach, Indy and friends! Oh, I miss "zero g" too!
